About
It was back in 1977 when a friend in High School lent Dan a Canon FTb 35mm film camera for the weekend. That weekend’s experience with that camera sparked something in him. And it ignited a passion for photography that continues today.
Throughout his life, Dan has been honing his understanding and skills with his camera, photography, and light. In the 80s, he became a student of Dean Collins who taught him how to understand and control light, in and out of the studio. In the 90s, he owned and operated a camera repair business. And the turn of the century and the introduction of digital cameras brought new challenges through more flexibility as photography became instantaneous.
In the past, Dan photographed his share of weddings, events, and fashion. Today, he is filling his time photographing people, nature, and fine art.
